Around the 'hood: Flowers

It might be a basic function but I am obsessed with taking pictures in the 'macro' or close up mode.  I've been learning more about the capabilities of my awesome rebel (read: reading the manual) so I'm starting to veer away from using the auto-focus and have been dabbling with the manual focus using the more advanced modes (AV, M, etc.).  Don't get me wrong, auto-focus is well and alive but it's nice to know how to sometimes override what the rebel thinks is best.

And with that, I give you:  gorgeous flowers seen around my 'hood.
